Job Summary

This job is a designer in the T1 and Ethernet over copper and DS1 facilities. This job typically works Monday through Friday. Shifts generally are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. A few Saturdays throughout the year are required. The office is generally closed on company holidays and Sundays.

This job works in a center environment taking calls from outside field technicians and other company employees. Employees have scheduled breaks and lunches depending on the scheduled shift. Some overtime may be required.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of GPON and Ethernet assignment in LFACS will be strongly considered

  • TIRKS, WEBSOP, and SOAC, ARMOR, WFA-C, OMNIVUE, SWITCH, and Work Flow Director skills will be assessed and given consideration

  • Ability to read word docs, knowledge of special service circuits, DSO, DS1, and above

  • Ability to read service orders and ASRs

  • Demonstrate the ability to learn new processes and product requirements

  • Demonstrate sound judgment to resolve issues

  • Able to escalate to various groups to ensure order progression

  • Able to meet metrics and production goals with little or no supervision, as well as offer suggestions to management team that would increase productivity and decrease intervals
