Fully qualified technical lead responsible for system support functions for the Transaction Tax Billing Organization. This position serves as the technical liaison for business clients, responding to and resolving a variety of client requests, supporting system project implementations and performing ongoing system production functions. Position also provides data analytics and assists in data gathering.
Handles tax technical analysis, issues, and implementations on the Ensemble and CABS billing systems.
Works directly with IT resources to solve complex problems.
Serves as key resource for project implementations for business functional/technical requirements, testing, training, change management process assistance and system documentation.
Develop and implement reports, analyzing the data to ensure accuracy and that the content meets business needs and requirements.
Handles tax disputes on Carrier Access Billing systems.
Assist when necessary on tax disputes for Ensemble, CRIS, BART, Oracle, and NIBS systems.
Assists with system operational functions including collaboration with IT organization to ensure appropriate system performance such as monthly tax updates and tax system upgrades.
Performs in a highly skilled role with proficient technical and business expertise for the responsible area.
Provide data analytics on vast amounts of data from multiple billing platforms using whatever tools are necessary.

Minimum 5+ years in IT experience
Minimum 5+ years Vertex CommTax experience including advanced customization of Vertex data.
Strong background in Telecommunications Tax is essential.
Related experience in current standard technologies such as MS Office, , Oracle SQL, , and COBOL.
Strong database management skills including the ability to merge, clean and analyze large amounts of data
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain data and findings to a non-technical audience
Demonstrated strong attention to detail, problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
High degree of initiative, dependability and the ability to work with little supervision
Experience managing multiple, simultaneous, conflicting priorities
Experience working with technical staff and delivering results
Disciplined self-starter. A trusted and dynamic team player with a “can-do” attitude
6+ years of related IT experience
Experience in SQL and other computer languages.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Access
Knowledge of CenturyLink's billing systems and data warehouse
Bachelors or Equivalent in Information Systems or Accounting
