Job Title: Senior Wholesale Relationship Manager

Job Overview:

The CenturyLink Corrections Markets sales organization has an immediate opening for an Account Executive who will focus on sales to large county and state government agencies. Your responsibilities will consist of executing on strategies and best practices that will create new business revenue.

The responsibilities will include selling a portfolio of inmate communication services as well as the CenturyLink capabilities relevant to the market. The position requires developing and selling business solutions that meet customers' needs within an assigned territory. Identifying and calling on all levels of an organization from procurement to senior agency heads/elected officials/ "C" level executives; demonstrating your ability to utilize your contacts to gain access to a client, prospect or partner in order to uncover and move opportunities forward.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business or quantitative field of study

  • 5 years of experience selling technical solutions to Medium-Enterprise size customers while previous sales experience to State and Local Government is highly desired.

  • Ability to think strategically and experience developing and presenting formal presentations to senior level management and other end users.

  • Demonstrated stable track record of success in Sales.

  • Technical aptitude with proficiency with MS products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to travel as business needs require. Typically 25-50%.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strategic selling skills, skills in analyzing and evaluating territory dynamics to develop and implement a sales plan

  • Ability to initiate and lead projects

  • Be an energetic self-starter and possess an excellent knowledge of the industry marketplace and business drivers.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Demonstrated understanding of State Government procurement procedures, sales cycles, and corrections industry experience.
