Job Summary

The Vice President of Global Security Services is the “CEO” of the Security product line at CenturyLink. This position leads a portfolio of Global Security Products and Services and drives improved financial performance and customer success.

The VP Security Services is part of a cross-functional team that gathers technical and procedural information, deploys necessary tools to test and validate IT infrastructure, identifies vulnerabilities, analyzes information derived from engagements to determine information security risks, and provides remediation assistance.

Job Description

  • Develop global product strategy, define roadmap and manage execution through the product lifecycle.

  • Establish strategy by assessing global market landscape and identifying opportunities and threats (competitors).

  • Develop and drive financial business cases supporting required financial planning and resource investments; accountable for delivering associated outcomes. -

  • Develop and deliver against 3 year financial plan.

  • Develop differentiated value propositions by customer or market segments, partner with marketing teams to drive plans. -

  • Act as a CEO of the product. Lead disciplined and analytical approach to innovation planning for the portfolio with other stakeholder organizations including IT, Engineering and Operations -

  • Conduct read-outs on product strategy, performance and profitability to executive team.

  • External representative to prospects/customers for major deal support, serve as company spokesperson and subject matter expert with external audiences including industry analysts and investors.

  • Responsible for commercial enablement (pricing strategy) and operational oversight of the product portfolios. -

  • Set and monitor financial targets and pricing, conduct readouts to executive team on business results

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, with 3-5 years of experience as an executive

  • Experience in P&L management and financial planning and forecasting

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related experience

  • Proven success developing strategy, leading disciplined and analytical innovation planning with internal technical stakeholders

Preferred qualifications

  • Master’s Degree with 8+ years’ experience
