Job Summary

The CenturyLink Apprenticeship Programme is an exciting opportunity to work with industry experts to gain valuable experience and achieve an apprenticeship qualification at Intermediate or Advanced level. On each of our 18 to 24-month schemes, you will be rotated across different business areas to shadow experts in the field and gain hands on experience. We currently have a range of available opportunities within the business.

Salary: £14,740 to 15,840 (dependent on qualifications)

Job Description

Apprentice Technician: This role is located within the Service Operations team which monitor our global data network and provides pro-active support to customers where outages occur.

Apprentice Provisioner: The provisioning team is responsible for the technical design, building and configuration of customer network and product solutions, and final testing before the service goes live.

Apprentice Engineer (NP&I): The Network, Planning & Implementation (NP&I) function is responsible for the design and planning of the European, Middle East and African (EMEA) element of our global network and helps bring about end to end network improvements.

Apprentice Engineer (A&E): The Architecture and Engineering (A&E) function oversees the design and planning of core infrastructure for global fibre-optic, IPVPN and Internet networks as well as engineering developments in products and services.

IT Apprentice: The IT team provide a range of services from deskside support of internal employees, software design, testing and development and project management or new IT applications.

Apprentice Access Planner: The Access Planning team are responsible for ensuring the network supplied by third party suppliers operates to maximum effectiveness through the matching of network capacity with customer usage.


§ GCSES in Maths and English essential, A-Levels in technical subjects desirable

§ Work experience in any field also desirable
